Why we built this
Most people still choose a dentist, a plumber or a place for dinner by reading reviews. At the same time, almost everyone has learned to doubt them. Fake five-star reviews, bought one-star attacks, and businesses that quietly bury the bad ones have made the whole system harder to believe.
Small businesses feel this from both sides. They lose customers to competitors who cheat, and their own real reviews get treated with suspicion. Customers feel it too: they spend more time second-guessing and less time deciding.
Reputfy is our answer. We give visitors a simple place to write an honest review, give owners one calm place to answer every review they get, and seal each review with a public fingerprint so nobody can edit it later without it showing.
What we believe
How we make money
Businesses pay a monthly or yearly subscription for the tools that help them manage reviews: one inbox for every review site, reply drafts, alerts, review requests and sealing for reviews on other platforms. Writing a review on Reputfy is free and always will be.
We never take money to remove, hide, reorder or soften a review. Paying customers get exactly the same content rules as everyone else, and the Reputfy seal is earned by meeting published criteria, not bought.
How the seal works, briefly
Each review gets a SHA-256 fingerprint the moment it is posted. Fingerprints are bundled together and timestamped in public through OpenTimestamps, an open standard anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain. Anyone can check that a review has not changed since it was sealed. We explain the details, including what it does not prove, in What blockchain review verification actually proves.
