Writing a review
Do I need an account to write a review?
You need to be signed in to post, so that each review comes from a real person and can be sealed to them. Your public review shows only the name you choose, such as a first name and initial.
I cannot find the business I visited.
Try a shorter search, such as one distinctive word from the name, or the town. Our search allows for small typos and shows "Did you mean" suggestions. If it really is not listed, choose Add it, fill in the name and town, and write the first review.
There are two businesses with the same name.
Check the town shown next to each result. Where names match, we highlight the town and ask you to confirm "This is the place I visited" before you post, so your review lands on the right page.
Can I edit or delete my review?
Sealed reviews cannot be edited, because the fingerprint would no longer match. If you made a mistake or want your review removed, contact us and we will take it down. The record will show that a review was withdrawn by its author.
What am I not allowed to post?
Threats, hate, harassment, other people's personal details, spam or advertising, and reviews where you have a conflict of interest, such as working for the business or a competitor. Everything else stays up, including harsh but honest reviews.
Will the business see my name?
The business sees the same display name everyone else sees. We never share your email address or account details with businesses.
For businesses
How do I claim my business page?
Search for your business on the Write a review page, open it and press Claim this page. You will be asked to sign up or log in. We then confirm you run the business, usually by a quick call to the number on your public listing, within one working day.
Can I reply to reviews?
Yes. Once your claim is approved, a reply box appears under each review on your public page and in your dashboard. Replies are public. You can reply to any review but never change it.
Can I remove a negative review?
No. You can report a review that breaks the content rules, such as a fake or a review meant for another business, and we will look at the evidence. Negative but genuine reviews stay up. A calm, specific reply is usually the best response.
How do I connect Google, Yelp and other sites?
Professional and Enterprise plans pull reviews from the major review sites into one inbox. During setup, choose the platforms you want to watch.
Do you write replies for me?
Reputfy drafts replies in your chosen tone, and a person must approve every one before it is posted. Clinics and practices can switch on Privacy mode so drafts never mention personal or health details.
The Reputfy seal
What does the seal prove?
That reviews have not been edited since they were collected, and that they existed by a certain date. It does not prove a review is fair or true.
How does a business earn the seal?
By meeting six criteria: a verified owner, a real and complete listing, at least five sealed reviews in the last 12 months, replies to at least half of critical reviews in the last 90 days, the Fair Review Pledge, and a clean record. Full details are on the criteria page.
How can I check a seal is real?
Hover over or tap the seal to open its certificate, then press Verify certificate. It recomputes the certificate's fingerprint and compares it with the one Reputfy issued. A copied or altered seal will not match.
Can a seal be taken away?
Yes. Certificates last 12 months and renew while the criteria are met. A business that stops meeting them gets a 30-day grace period. A confirmed fake, bought or suppressed review revokes the seal straight away.
Billing and plans
Is there a free trial?
Every business plan starts with a 7-day free trial with full access. Writing reviews is always free for visitors.
How do I pay?
Payments are handled by Stripe on their secure checkout page. Reputfy never sees or stores your full card number.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from Plan and billing in your dashboard. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Do you offer refunds?
If something went wrong, contact us within 14 days of a charge and we will look at it fairly. See the refunds section of our Terms.
Account and privacy
What data do you keep about me?
For reviewers: your display name, your reviews and the date you posted. For businesses: your workspace, reviews you manage and billing records. Our Privacy Policy lists everything.
How do I remove my personal information from Google?
That is a separate service for individuals. Our guide How to remove your personal information from Google walks you through the free tools first.
How do I delete my account?
Contact us from the account you want deleted and we will remove it. Sealed review fingerprints cannot be deleted from the public ledger, but they reveal nothing about you on their own.
