1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply to everyone who uses Reputfy, whether you write reviews ("reviewers") or use our tools for a business ("business customers"). By using Reputfy you agree to them. If you use Reputfy for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent where you live if higher.
3. Writing reviews
When you post a review, you confirm that:
- It describes your own genuine experience with the business you selected.
- You do not work for the business or a competitor, and are not closely related to someone who does, unless you say so clearly in the review.
- Nobody paid, rewarded or pressured you to write it, or to give a particular rating.
- It does not contain threats, hate, harassment, other people's personal details, spam or unlawful content.
You keep ownership of your review. You give Reputfy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, seal and distribute it as part of the service, including on the business's page and in widgets the business embeds.
Reviews are sealed with a cryptographic fingerprint when posted and cannot be edited afterwards. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
4. Moderation
We remove reviews only when they break the content rules in section 3, or when the law requires it. We never remove, hide or reorder reviews because of their star rating or because a business asked or paid us to. When a review is removed, the business page shows that a review was removed and why, in general terms.
5. Using Reputfy as a business
- You may claim only businesses you own or are authorised to manage. We may ask for proof.
- You must not post reviews of your own business or competitors, buy or sell reviews, offer incentives conditioned on a review or rating, or ask only satisfied customers for reviews.
- Replies must be truthful, must not disclose customers' private information, and must not threaten or intimidate reviewers.
- AI reply drafts are suggestions. You are responsible for every reply you approve and post.
- Breaking these rules may lead us to revoke your seal, remove your claim or close your account.
6. The Reputfy seal
The seal is issued when a business meets our published criteria and is valid for 12 months unless revoked. It shows that reviews on the record are complete and unedited since sealing. It is not a rating of the business, an endorsement, or a guarantee of its products or services. You may display your seal only while your certificate is valid, and only in a way that links to your Reputfy page.
7. Plans, payments and refunds
- Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Prices are shown before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Their terms also apply to the payment.
- You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If you believe a charge was a mistake, contact us within 14 days and we will review it fairly. Nothing in these terms affects refund rights you have by law.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
8. Our service and content
Reputfy's software, design, brand and seal artwork belong to us. You may not copy or imitate the seal or present a business as Reputfy verified when it is not.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Reviews are the opinions of their authors, not of Reputfy. We provide the service as it is and do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to a business customer is limited to the fees it paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Suspending or closing accounts
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice on the site or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Reputfy after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Reputfy is registered, without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. Questions about these terms? Contact us.
