AI assistants are good at many things, but they guess when they lack facts. Ask one whether a café's reviews are genuine, and it can only repeat what it found on the web.
Reputfy now gives assistants a direct line to the facts: sealed reviews, seal certificates and plan details, straight from our records.
What is MCP?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside tools and data. Claude, ChatGPT and many coding tools support it. Instead of searching the web and hoping, an assistant connected to an MCP server can ask that service directly.

What your assistant can do with it
Without signing in, any connected assistant can:
- Search businesses listed on Reputfy by name, category or town.
- Read sealed reviews for a business, with the owner's public replies.
- Check a seal, for a website or a certificate number, and see whether it is valid today.
- Look up plans and prices, including the 7-day trial.
- Search the Help Centre for how-to answers.
So you can ask things like "Find sealed reviews for bakeries in Brighton on Reputfy" or "Is the Reputfy seal on marlowst.example genuine?" and get answers from our records rather than from guesses.
How to connect
- Claude: open Settings, then Connectors, add a custom connector and paste the server address.
- ChatGPT: in Settings, open the apps and connectors section, turn on developer mode if your plan requires it, and create a connector with the server address, with no authentication.
- Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other tools: add Reputfy to your MCP settings with the address above.

For business owners: your own reviews
Owners can go one step further. On the Connect AI assistants page, sign in and create a private key. Your assistant then gets two more tools:
- Read your reviews from your Reputfy workspace, including the ones still waiting for a reply.
- Draft replies in the tone you choose.
Nothing is ever posted for you. The assistant drafts; you read, edit and post from Reputfy. Keep the key secret, and revoke it any time from the same page.
Privacy
Public tools use only public information. Private keys are stored only as fingerprints, so even we cannot read them back. You can revoke a key instantly. The details are in our privacy policy.
Why we built it
Trust is moving to where decisions happen. People increasingly ask an assistant before they search. When an assistant can check that a review is sealed, or that a seal on a website is genuine, honest businesses get the credit they have earned. That is also why the seal now reaches the address bar and search results, which we explain in your seal beyond your website.
